As both an educational consultant and a parent, I know the college application process can be overwhelming. However, I also understand that with extensive research and good communication, we can work together to help your student find the "right match".
Let me tell you a little about my background: though I graduated from Teachers College of Columbia University in 1976 with a Master's Degree in Applied Human Development & Counseling and a Master's Degree in Education, my real test came years later when both my children needed help applying to college.
Fortunately, after all the essays, road trips, college tours, practice interviews and late-night arguments, my son Andrew and my daughter Paige were accepted into their top choices: The University of Pennsylvania and Emory University, respectively. I was very happy, but I knew it hadn’t been easy—the application process had become more complex and demanding than ever.
That’s when I decided to dedicate myself to helping other parents survive this tedious but, ultimately, gratifying journey. I attended conferences and workshops across the country to further my understanding of the latest developments in today’s application process.
